“Strong auction volumes for the last weekend in May set the scene for a busy June”
Weekly Overview
In another strong Saturday Sydney’s auction clearance rate of 87.4 per cent and Melbourne’s 82.8 per cent beat last week’s results. However, the figure is expected to be revised down by approximately 3 per cent for Sydney and 3.5 per cent for Melbourne as more results arrive.
Nationally, he number of auction listings rose by 7 per cent from last week but remained below that of the last Saturday in May 2014. A lower number of listings is expected for the first weekend in June, while the two following Saturdays are shaping up to match May’s levels.
